Otago Harbour Survey

Below is an example of the recording sheet for the harbour survey. The start and finish times for each section are recorded together with the species and number. On this particular morning, there was a very high tide so, many places were under water where the birds usually gathered.

Rather than present more tables of figures from the monthly surveys, I’ve decided to show the numbers counted for six species in section seven. The data is from 2010.
